Namibia

For the third volume I will be travelling to Namibia, a diverse landscape which has everything from sub-tropical regions to some of the driest deserts in the world. The country has a lot of diverse tribes and thus many many languages. I learnt that the two main languages spoken in Namibia are Oshivambo (the language of the Ovambo people) and Khoekhoe. Khoekhoe is a Khoisan languages which are characterised by their clicking sounds.

With that in mind I will do my best to seek a translator/s to record stories and interviews to get a better understanding of the different tribes and their cultures. The photographic focus of this volume will be around the dryer environments such as the Namib and Kalahari deserts. I will tour through the deserts on the ground at first and if desert weather behaves, take flight for some areal perspectives of this unique country.
